Regulators 7th Grade AAU Boys Win Whatcom Hoop Slam

The Regulator AAU boys' basketball team won the 2009 Whatcom Hoop Slam tournament with pool play wins over Sports n Skillz and the Bellingham Titans. The Regulators defeated Ferndale 44-35 in the semi-finals and the Sehome Mariners in the championship game, 51-38. The Regulators outscored their opponents, 220 -124 enroute to their 3rd consecutive Hoop Slam championship.

The team has posted a 19-2 record heading into the Christmas break and is scheduled to play in the Bill Taylor Memorial Classic this weekend in Anacortes. The 7th grade boys Regulator team: Kyle Hofstetter, Dante Check, Chad Dickerson, Kalien Hayes, Jonathan Whetnall, Kyle Little, Clark Hazlett, Keanan Albrecht, Dalton Biehle, and Austin James. The team is coached by Tim Dickerson, Bob Hofstetter and Dave Whetnall.
